Clare Grennan is a Dublin based jeweller and co-director of Irish Design Shop. Her current body of work focuses on strong geometric forms, from small to large scale pieces. Using mostly silver, a lot of her work is cast and sometimes plated in gold or rhodium. She also likes to incorporate wood and other metals such as brass in her work. Her aim as a designer is to constantly evolve and produce new work using a variety of techniques. Inspiration comes from experimenting with materials and techniques in the hope that something half decent will come out of it.
