The theme for this years Kilcoe Studios calendar is wild and foraged foods. Inspired by her surrounding West Cork landscape and countryside, designer/illustrator Sonia Caldwell produces beautifully detailed watercolours. Every year, Sonia produces a calendar containing reproductions of these artworks using lithographic printing on uncoated, recycled paper. Each month depicts a different plant and includes a short description of the species. This year she has also added some culinary tips on cooking with the fresh ingredients as well as 6 recipes from the chef Mark at Pilgrims restaurant in Roscarbery, West Cork.

List of illustrations: Hazelnuts, Nettles,Wild Garlic, Sheeps Sorrel, Watercress, Mint, Strawberry, Blackberry, Elderberry, Chaterelle, Sloes and Rose hips

Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey established Irish Design Shop in 2008. A love of Irish craft and good design led these two jewellers to set up a retail space which offered customers both. Irish craft was witnessing a revival at this time, with a new breed of Irish designer/maker producing exciting, design-led products which embraced traditional and new techniques.
