Wicker Man

Wicker Man

Francis Presley works mostly with native Irish timbers such as ash, hazel, willow and seagrass making furniture, baskets and even coffins. Almost 10 years ago he established his own willow plantation, in Co. Silgo, growing Salix Pentandra for weaving, giving him a direct relationship with his materials. At this time he also branched (no pun intended) into charcoal making. He works on both large and small scale creating larger structures for festivals such as Electric picnic.
