Even Bird enthusiasts who can tell their pied wagtail from their long-tailed tit may not necessarily be familiar with the history of our cultural relationship with birds. This book is sure to fascinate and enlighten both expert and novice alike giving both a richer understanding of our culture and and maybe even make you re-appraise your relationship with our fine feathered friends. Following seasonal cycle rather than ornithological classification, Niall Mac Coitir’s stories of the myths, legends and folklore behind Ireland’s most common birds makes a great companion to Mary Neeson's bird feeder as a gift.

This book is in hardback format, with original Illustrations by Gordon D’Arcy and measures 24cm x 16cm x 2.5cm.
