Handmade in Strandhill, Co. Sligo, by Ashleigh Smith, this Atlantic Equipment Project backpack is designed with the adventurer in mind. This multi-functional bag will take you everywhere from a mountain trek to a city cycle.

Made in quilted waxed cotton and corduroy, this backpack is hardwearing and waterproof. The rolltop opening allows for adjustable volume and is secured with a cord and cast brass D-ring closure. The external pocket is lined with navy corduroy and is easy access. The cotton webbing straps are adjustable and cushioned for your comfort on those long country hikes. There is an impacting absorbing base to keep your valuables safe also. This bag can hold a 15” laptop.

The fully unrolled dimensions of the bag is 75cm high x 32cm wide x 10cm deep.

Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey established Irish Design Shop in 2008. A love of Irish craft and good design led these two jewellers to set up a retail space which offered customers both. Irish craft was witnessing a revival at this time, with a new breed of Irish designer/maker producing exciting, design-led products which embraced traditional and new techniques.
