By far one of the highlights in the city's calendar, Culture Night is once again upon us. 132 venues are involved this year in Dublin alone, the event itself takes place nationally in 22 towns and cities, but for us the highlight has to be the capital.

Flying the flag for Culture Night Dublin, Irish Design shop & studios will be open until 11pm. Early on in the evening we will be holding a jewellery making workshop. Nothing too demanding, we will be inviting the public to construct a badge or pin in perspex/copper. Our two other resident metalworkers Eoin M.Lyons and Cianan Doyle will be on hand to help us out, so we should be super organised! Pre-booking is essential for this event. Throughout the evening, the eight resident artists and designers will have their studios open to the public with work on display. And of course the shop will also be open till 11pm. This month we have new work from jeweller Theresa Burger & woven and woolen products by Cushendale & Heather Finn.

Our amazing Culture Night window display should be reason enough for anyone to vist Irish Design shop on the 24th of September. No expense was spared on creating the colourful masterpiece you see in the photo above. We could go on about our elaborate techniques but it would ruin the mystery......................See you all on the 24th of September!
