Stoneware Side Plate
9 Yard Ceramic
A beautifully made side plate, perfect for snacks or to complement our larger, dinner plate within the range. Each piece by Luke is hand turned to precision in his backyard studio in Dublin's Inchicore. The durable, stoneware clay is decorated on the rim with a tinted slip and finished with a transparent glaze. The outside lip and base are left unglazed, making this work incredibly tactile.
The plate measures 18cm in diameter with a 1.5cm lip.
While we would always recommend treating handmade ceramics with care, these plates are microwave safe and can be cleaned in a dishwasher.

Our Story
Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey established Irish Design Shop in 2008. A love of Irish craft and good design led these two jewellers to set up a retail space which offered customers both. Irish craft was witnessing a revival at this time, with a new breed of Irish designer/maker producing exciting, design-led products which embraced traditional and new techniques.
