Serving dish - fish
Mark Campden

This large serving dish decorated in Mark's signature fish pattern is perfect for serving a salad, as a fruit bowl or simply as an ornamental piece.
Working in the traditional majolica technique, Mark's pieces are first formed in earthenware clay and covered with a white tin glaze. The surface then becomes his canvas for meticulous decoration, in this case these intricate fishes. Each detail in is hand painted onto the piece in fluid brushstrokes, rich in imagery inspired by nature. He also shares a studio in Kilkenny with partner Caroline Dolan whose work we also love and is available from our online shop too.
Each dish measures about 24cm in diameter x 7cm in height, but sizes may vary due to the handmade nature of the piece.

Our Story
Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey established Irish Design Shop in 2008. A love of Irish craft and good design led these two jewellers to set up a retail space which offered customers both. Irish craft was witnessing a revival at this time, with a new breed of Irish designer/maker producing exciting, design-led products which embraced traditional and new techniques.
