A modern and minimalist upgrade from the usual espresso mug. Each beaker has a matt band towards the base, making them satisfyingly tactile to hold with your morning coffee. Each handmade beaker varies in design, with different patterns of navy blue blocked brush strokes, strong lines, speckles of burnt orange, and a smooth glaze. More importantly, they easily hold triple shots of espresso for when you've a long to-do list. Or indeed a small jot of wine for when that list is complete.

Adam Frew is a potter based in rural Northern Ireland, creating clean and simple forms in porcelain. He enjoys the spontaneity of throwing, the speed of production and mark making. Adam often includes stark contrasts to the clean white porcelain with sharp lines, playful scribbles, brush marks, and lots of colour - making each handmade piece unique.

Dimensions and Care:

Each beaker measures approx 7cm in height and 7cm across in diameter. As each is hand made, the dimensions may vary slightly. Sold individually.

We would recommend handwashing this item.

If you like this...

We think you will really appreciate Adam's flat white cups, which also feature this  brushstroke design.

Sustainability:

Adam undertakes each aspect of production himself, under the one roof!  From making his own glazes, constructing the pots and firing them. He recycles all of his unfired clay, and where possible biodegradable packaging is used to protect the finished porcelain pieces. As Adam works from his home in Northern Ireland, it's a short walk to the studio!
