Cut precisely to shape with the use of a CNC router by Saturday Workshop, these boards are designed with functionality in mind. The intentional lack of decoration places the emphasis on the natural character of the Irish beech. Finished and sealed by hand with food safe Danish oil, the addition of the hole allows the board to be hung up when not in use.  Big enough to use as a serving board for cheese or handy for slicing bread and chopping vegetables.

Dimensions and Care:

Each board measures 28cm x 21cm x 2.5cm.  Wipe with warm soapy water after use, do not immerse as this may cause warping. Rub with linseed oil when the wood looks 'thirsty'.

These beautiful beech chopping boards make excellent house warming gifts when paired with the smaller style, or with our Seasoning recipe cards for the ultimate foodie gift.

Sustainability:

Saturday Workshop create simple. yet practical wooden pieces from locally sourced, native Irish hardwoods. With functionality in mind, their work is designed to be used and loved for a long time.

All of the timber used in Saturday Workshop products comes from sustainably managed forests in Ireland. The beech trees had been planted over two hundred years ago, and felled by Winter storms to be eventually processed by local companies.
