A simple beaker, hand thrown in local clay, dug from the Dublin mountains and finished in an ice crackle glaze. Ideal as a drinking vessel, to hold utensils or flowers on a table setting.
Daniel takes the clay from the mountains and processes it to make it pliable. The labour-intensive process includes breaking down the clay, sieving it several times, washing it twice, drying it and finally kneading it. The clay retains a lot of rough particles giving it a very natural, tactile finish.
Available in a choice of two colours, each piece is totally unique and shows the marks of the process of being hand turned on the wheel, no two will be the same. Daniel finishes each piece with his personal Woodsmith logo.
Measurements: each beaker measures approx 9.5cm x 7.5cm. Each beaker is sold individually.
