Gerald's Gems

Gerald's Gems

Gerald has just turned 19, he lives in Clontarf, Co. Dublin and was born with Down Syndrome. His decorations are handmade from wood and reclaimed buttons, with the help of his Granda Des. Gerald donates a portion of each sale to Down Syndrome Ireland.
He first launched his business during Transition year in secondary school, where he went on to win the All-Ireland NFTE Special Recognition Award and was flown to Switzerland for the European Finals.
There, he won a place at this year's Vienna Christmas markets to sell his decorations.
As his business grows, his goal is to be able to expand his team and hire other young adults who are also navigating the world with additional needs.
