Hand-thrown in terracotta clay in Belfast, Helen has chosen a beautiful, smooth, turquoise glaze that contrasts with the exposed dark clay perfectly. The overall shape is a delight to hold, with the lines and curves as evidence that each piece is made by hand.
Dimensions and Care:
Each mug measures approx. 9.5cm tall and 9cm in diameter. This piece is safe to use in the oven and dishwasher but not recommended for the microwave as the terracotta clay heats up very quickly.

Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey established Irish Design Shop in 2008. A love of Irish craft and good design led these two jewellers to set up a retail space which offered customers both.
