Irish Design Shop

Here at Irish Design Shop, we are always discussing possible projects & contemplating new products. Often sparked by a conversation in the shop amongst ourselves or with a fellow designer, we love developing an idea from prototyping to final product, and seeing how customers engage with these items in the shop. This range, though small, is diverse and ranges from a simple tote bag, to our solid brass candle stick holders.

In addition to developing physical items, we enjoy planning events and projects which encourage our customers to engage with Irish craft in an approachable, informal way through workshops and demonstrations. Our recently launched Autumn workshop series; Make and Mend is an example of this.

Our Story

Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey established Irish Design Shop in 2008. A love of Irish craft and good design led these two jewellers to set up a retail space which offered customers both. Irish craft was witnessing a revival at this time, with a new breed of Irish designer/maker producing exciting, design-led products which embraced traditional and new techniques.
