Jamie Lewis

Jamie Lewis

Jamie's mother showed him the basics of felt-making one summer, drawn to it's simplicity he realised he could create simple three-dimensional shapes from these natural fibers, sculpting them into forms. Moving from the UK to Dublin, he brought the skills he had learned and developed and eventually set up his studio and showroom in an old Butchers shop on Benburb Street in Dublin city center. Here he works with all natural wool yarns, turning it into felt shapes using just olive oil soap and water. He prefers to work in batches making one of his particular creatures at a time.
