Make and Mend

Make and Mend

Irish Design Shop are delighted to host a series of workshops this Autumn which focus on traditional crafts. Led by a selection of our suppliers, expert craftspeople based all over Ireland who are passionate about the handmade and the promotion of a more sustainable lifestyle, each workshop promises to be insightful, practical and engaging.

Taking place every Saturday in September, each workshop will be conducted in our studio above Irish Design Shop in Dublin's city centre. We have scheduled five very different classes including; candle making, woodcarving, darning with wool, spoon carving and basket weaving.

All are available to book below /// Class sizes are small to ensure each student receives adequate attention /// Each workshop is suitable for beginners /// Contact Us directly with any questions.

Irish craft was witnessing a revival at this time, with a new breed of Irish designer/maker producing exciting, design-led products which embraced traditional and new techniques.
