The Full Moon of May is known as Flower Moon to signify the abundance flowers that bloom during this month. Many types of anemone, wild garlic, indigo, bluebells, lupine, sundrops, and violets, to name just a few.
This series of prints is inspired by Martina's "memories of summer walks by wild hedgerows that narrow the path and the joy of making new tracks through the scratchy wheat grass and thistles, praying the rain will stay away."
The dark image of thistles, cow parsley, and the moon is screen printed on Irish linen. The print itself measures 15cm x 15cm in a white mount measuring 29.5cm x 29.5cm which fits perfectly in our large square Rockerlane Workshop frames.
