Stephen Pearce

Stephen Pearce

Stephen Pearce pottery is immediately recognisable and loved as a traditional Irish brand. Having inherited a passion for pottery from his father Philip, Stephen joined the family business as an apprentice in 1962. The Shanagarry range of earthenware was developed by Philip with the help of his son. Stephen continues to produce and develop the range to this day in his Shanagarry workshop with a small team of skilled artisans. They continue to use the same clay that Philip once used and are one of very few modern potteries that continue to dig and process their own clay, which comes from the banks of the Blackwater River in nearby Youghal.
