Each year, illustrator and wildlife enthusiast Sonia Caulwell produces a calendar to a specific theme, this year's being Irelands rivers and lakes. Sonia is meticulous in her research. To ensure the native brown trout on the cover was accurate, she contacted a local fishery inspector who kindly provided a few specimens on ice from which Sonia could draw from.
The calendar is peppered with facts relating to the native plants which can be found on our lake shores, including their practical uses such as reeds, which are used in thatching, and rushes used for weaving. Printed to a high standard by the litho printing process, this calendar makes a lovely gift, the images perfect for framing once the year has come to a close. This calendar is approx A4 in size, opening out to double that when hung on the wall.
