Badly Made Books
Created by designer and illustrator Seán O'Sullivan these notebooks are handmade by the Badly Made Books team in their studio in Cork city, using traditional techniques and innovative, sustainable materials.
This small collection features photographs by Matt Donovan from around West Cork, printed on paper made from recycled coffee cups and other food waste. The inside pages are taped and printed using ink made from rice oil.
Made using 85% recycled materials, the notebooks are A5 format 200cm x 140cm, with 112 pages with dots, and a soft cover.
Our Story
Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey established Irish Design Shop in 2008. A love of Irish craft and good design led these two jewellers to set up a retail space which offered customers both. Irish craft was witnessing a revival at this time, with a new breed of Irish designer/maker producing exciting, design-led products which embraced traditional and new techniques.
