Hand made in county Mayo, each one of these cowls is individually woven using a manual, traditional floor loom with 100% merino lambswool. Producer Wild Cocoon is based in Claremorris, and draws her inspiration from the Irish countryside found just outside the studio door. From Mayo mountains to Achill Island seas, designer and maker Deirdre Duffy hand weaves colour and pattern into each cowl to reflect each ever-changing landscape surrounding her.

This Beyond Darkness cowl is inspired by rich fuchsia sunsets in the West of Ireland. Each paint-like woven stroke uses deep pink, navy blue, and seafoam green shades of lambswool to create a Mayo night sky. Other patterns and weaves include the Shallow Seas, Hillside Walks, and Misty Morning cowls, as well as blankets in the same series.

Designed to be worn like a cosy, wrapped loop scarf, or pulled up over the head to create a hood for a slightly chillier day.

Care: Hand wash in cool water, line dry, and steam press on the label side. Each cowl is roughly 53cm x 100cm.
