There's no doubt that cold winter evenings are made for luxury; a crackling fire, a good book, a rich hot chocolate (with or without Baileys, we won't judge), and a hot water bottle to cosy up with. These pure cashmere miniature hot water bottles are made by Burren-based knitwear studio, Ekotree. Knitted with 100% handspun cashmere in the West of Ireland, the pattern is inspired by traditional Irish cable stitches and is available in a choice of berry, beige, deep grey, mint, and a deep chocolate brown.
For something cosy to wear on the go, check out Ekotree's cashmere scarves, hats and shawls in the same range.
Designed and made in Doolin, Co. Clare, Ekotree's studio is based along the Wild Atlantic Way, neighboring the Cliffs of Moher and Aran Islands. Their environmental policy includes promoting and participating in the Burren Ecotourism Network and the Cliffs of Moher Geopark through initiatives such as using natural yarns and fibres, recycling all materials used at the studio, using biodegradable substances when possible, and minimising water and energy usage. Dimensions are 28cm x 16cm, and includes a German made 100% natural rubber hot water bottle.
