Home Water is a collection of photos taken from the sea of some of our favourite landmarks around Dublin bay. Created by Niall Meehan of Sea Studio exclusively for Irish Design Shop.

This image was taken from the sea, featuring the uninhabited Dalkey Island, with its abandoned church and Martello tower.  An important site of pilgrimage for centuries, it has been known as "St Begnet's Isle" since records began.

Niall swims in the sea daily, all year round. His photos capture a moment in time, as a permanent reminder of what it is to be alive.

Each image is one of an edition of 30, signed and numbered by Niall on Hannemühle 308gm, 100% cotton paper, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. If you like this print, you might also like to take a look at Niall's latest photographic print of Ireland's Eye available here.

This large print comes unmounted measuring 420mm x 420mm, including 15mm white border, and is supplied rolled in acid-free tissue paper and inside sturdy cardboard tubes.

Our Story

Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey established Irish Design Shop in 2008. A love of Irish craft and good design led these two jewellers to set up a retail space which offered customers both. Irish craft was witnessing a revival at this time, with a new breed of Irish designer/maker producing exciting, design-led products which embraced traditional and new techniques.
