Felt Bumblebee - Irish Design Shop data-zoom=

Handcrafted in a rich coloured Merino wool, these little Bumblebees are made by Jamie in his Dublin city-center studio. The wool is worked by hand with olive oil soap and water to create felt shapes and finished with hand-stitched features, eyes and mouth and wings, giving them a personality all of their own. As each piece is individually made they will vary slightly in size, colour, and expression!

Ireland has 21 native species of Bumblebee, and four of these are currently endangered. As pollinators, bees play a part in every aspect of the ecosystem. They support the growth of trees, flowers, and other plants, which serve as food and shelter for creatures large and small.

These Bees are NOT intended as toys or suitable for small children. They measure about 8cm x 5cm, and his wings are about 7cm across

CARE: Wool felt may pill (go bobbly) and is best trimmed with sharp scissors or electric beard trimmer. Washing products is not recommended but if necessary do so by hand, shape and leave to dry in a warm place.
