Hook lighthouse is one of the oldest lighthouses in the world. Situated on Hook Head at the tip of Hook peninsula in Co. Wexford. The existing tower dates back to the 12th century, used to guide sailors through the sudden fog that often descends on the area, it was opened to the public in 2001 as a visitor centre.
Martina's work is inspired by her walks and trips around Ireland. This illustration of Hook lighthouse captures the wildness of the coastline overlooked by the tower itself.
Screen printed on Irish linen, one of a limited edition of 250. The print itself measures 12cm x 12cm within a mount that measures 23cm x 23cm which fits perfectly in our small square Rockerlane Workshop frames.
