Inspired by the plant that grows abundantly around his home and studio in Kilkenny, this jug by Mark Campden is perfect for serving shared cocktails, or given its botanical inspiration, as a vase for some dried or fresh flowers.

There are also small and medium jugs available in the same collection, two different patterns taking inspiration from local birds and sealife, with both a fish and a robin design.

Mark works in a traditional majolica technique, first forming his pieces in earthenware clay before being covered with a white tin glaze. The detailed surface of each jug is then delicately hand-painted. Each piece is decorated with fluid and organic brushstrokes, mimicking the flora and fauna of the local surroundings that Mark draws from. He also shares a studio in Kilkenny with partner and fellow ceramic artist Caroline Dolan.

Dimensions: 21 cm height x 10 cm in diameter

Care instructions: Dishwasher safe
