Maureen Earrings
Names-Lineage

Our Maureen earrings, handcrafted in a choice of gold plated brass or solid sterling silver, have a polished circumference with angled details, resulting in an interesting profile, best seen when worn. We use sterling silver posts on all our earrings to avoid irritation for the wearer. If you are drawn to our Maureen earrings, you may also like our Helena, Rose and Mary B earrings. Each piece in of jewellery in our Lineage collection is named after a woman in each of our families:
Maureen loved going out to dances and being around young people. She set up a hair salon in the back room of her house on Rathmines Road in the 1950s. In later years she volunteered in Oxfam shops in both Dublin and Wexford. Maureen was Laura’s grandmother.
Our Maureen earrings come beautifully packaged, with a card outlining Maureen's story. Each earring measures 20mm in diameter and is 3mm thick.

Our Story
Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey established Irish Design Shop in 2008. A love of Irish craft and good design led these two jewellers to set up a retail space which offered customers both. Irish craft was witnessing a revival at this time, with a new breed of Irish designer/maker producing exciting, design-led products which embraced traditional and new techniques.
