Using distinctive and skilled brushwork, this jug by Mark Campden uses imagery inspired by nature and his local surroundings in Kilkenny. Featuring a pattern of swimming fish, delicately painted in tones of rich forest green and olive, this jug is perfect for serving summer refreshments, warming winter mulled wine, shared cocktails, or simply as a beautiful centrepiece.

Featured in the same collection are a larger version, matching serving plates, as well as a festive robin pattern.

Mark works in a traditional majolica technique, first forming his pieces in earthenware clay before being covered with a white tin glaze. The detailed surface of each jug is then delicately hand-painted. Each piece is decorated with fluid and organic brushstrokes, mimicking the flora and fauna of the local surroundings that Mark draws from. He also shares a studio in Kilkenny with partner and fellow ceramic artist Caroline Dolan.

Dimensions: 10 cm height x 9 cm across in diameter

Care instructions: Dishwasher safe
