Mark Campden has been a potter for over twenty years. Working in the traditional majolica technique, his pieces are first formed in earthenware clay and covered with a white tin glaze. The surface then becomes his canvas for meticulous decoration, in this case, these intricate fishes.
This bowl is the ideal size for serving a piping hot bowl of soup or stew, but equally useful for serving side dishes or sauces. Each detail in Mark's work is hand-painted onto the piece in fluid brushstrokes, rich in imagery inspired by nature. He also shares a studio in Kilkenny with partner Caroline Dolan whose work we also love and is available from our online shop too.
These bowls are about 14.5cm tall x 8.5cm in diameter, but sizes may vary slightly due to the handmade nature of the pottery. The dishes are all dishwasher safe
