A simple, beautifully made plant pot, thrown on the potter’s wheel in terracotta clay and glazed in a creamy slip. This hanging pot is part of a series specially commissioned for our Áras homewares range, and made by hand in Belfast by Helen Faulkner.
Each pot is individually finished with Helen’s hand scribed linear pattern which adds texture and character, glazed on the inside and stamped with Helen's makers mark. The sisal twine compliments the earthy tones and is strong enough to support the weight of the potted plant. We think these pots look great with some hanging Ivy in them.
Dimensions and Care:
Pot: width: 11cm x height: 11cm. Sisal twine approx 1 meter long. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Helen Faulkner produces pottery from clay derived from plentiful minerals occurring in the earth, as well as glazes that Helen makes herself, with the intention for her ceramics to last for years to come. In its raw state, the clay can be recycled many times before being fired in her well insulated, therefore very efficient kiln. Ceramics require a lot of care in terms of packaging but Helen, like many of our other ceramicists, uses recyclable or repurposed materials to protect the work in transit. Lastly, Helen’s Belfast studio is within walking distance of her home which allows for a carbon free journey to and from work!
