Shipping policy
Shipping times on all orders are calculated once the order has been fulfilled, NOT once the order has been placed. For orders placed before 12pm Monday to Friday, we endeavour to process same day or the following day. During busy periods such as Christmas time (the 6 weeks before Christmas), shipping may take longer. For up-to-date dispatch times it is best to contact us: 01 6798871 / hello@irishdesignshop.com. We are always happy to help, and have a dedicated packing team carefully processing and dispatching orders as efficiently as possible.
Irish shipping rates:
For orders within Ireland, we use a reliable, efficient and trackable service provided by courier company DPD. Delivery times within Ireland are one to two days. You will be alerted by text message of your one hour delivery window, allowing you to reschedule if necessary. If you are not home, the delivery may be left in a 'safe place'. It is best to re arrange delivery if this option does not work for you.
The cost per parcel is €8 within Ireland. There are no limitations on weight or size.
European orders:
For Orders within mainland Europe, we use a reliable, efficient and trackable service provided by courier company DPD. Shipping will be calculated at checkout, and ranges from €20 for deliveries within Zone 1 (Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands) to €28 for Zone 5 (Portugal, Croatia, Finland and Greece). Rates are per parcel regardless of weight or size.
Transit times take 3 working days for zone 1 and take a max of 6 working days for Zone 5 within Europe. DPD delivers an efficient and reliable service. As the customer, you will receive an email/text ahead of your delivery window, allowing you to reschedule if necessary.
The UK, North America and Canada:
For shipping to the UK, North America, and Canada we use FedEx ensuring fast, reliable delivery. Rates start at €28 and increase depending on the weight and size of the parcel.
The delivery time is 5 to 7 working days.
Rest of the World:
Shipping rates to the Rest of the World start at €35 and increase depending on the weight and size of the parcel, sent with FedEx ensuring fast, reliable delivery.
The delivery time is 7 to 10 working days.
Customs and Duties:
For international orders, please be aware that customs duties, taxes, and import fees may be applicable in the destination country. These charges, imposed by customs authorities, are the responsibility of the recipient. We recommend contacting your local customs office for more information on potential fees or restrictions.
For our US based customers: All orders above $100 will be subject to an import tax of 15%, calculated on the value of the items. All prices on our website, including shipping, are not inclusive of any import fees you may be subject to. These fees are not paid by Irish Design Shop, and are collected by our shipping carrier FedEx, which must be paid by the recipient. For more information, please check with the US Customs and Border Protection Department.
