Cow Plate

A delicate, porcelain plate hand crafted with love in Dublin. Featuring Karo's signature hand drawn whimsical illustrations and contrasting blocks of colour. Choose from three sizes, each with its own unique animal illustration.

The smallest of the plates measures approximately 11cm in diameter, with a small cow in the centre of a light blue background.

The medium sized plate has dark teal background, and a portrait of a single cow detailed with a scalloped border. This plate measures approx 15.5cm in diameter, with a 1cm lip.

The largest plate depicts a pair of cows gazing up at a crescent moon, on a pale pink glazed background. This measures approximately 21cm in diameter, with a hand-formed lip of 2cm.

Established by Karolina 'Karo' Grudniewska in 2011, KaroArt is a small, Dublin-based ceramic studio where beautifully coloured, illustrated and tactile ceramics are produced in a fully handmade process.

Karo is a self-thought ceramicist who developed her skill and style though continuous practice and experimentation, with lots of trial and error involved.

Her style of work is defined by basic forms and blocks of colour paired with illustrative decorations of whimsical and naïve quality.

Her work is often slightly imperfect, wonky, the illustrations ragged and hasty, leaving no doubt that each piece is made by hand.
