Measuring 6mm square and 5mm in thickness, these simple square studs are the perfect choice for everyday wear. Handmade in sterling silver, the solid square shape is slightly altered by filing into the surface to create a split level. This is further enhanced by the contrasting matte and polished finishes. Handmade in sterling silver, the Pauline earrings are also available in hard wearing, 18ct yellow gold plating. Each piece of jewellery within our Homespun collection is named after a woman who was involved in The Country Shop:

One of the youngest Aran knit suppliers to the Country Shop in the mid-1930s, Pauline Mc Donagh would sit with her sister Peggy at the back of mass on Sunday to get a good look at the patterns on the men’s jumpers, so they could hurry home and work out new Aran stitches. The most interesting patterns came from the far west of Inis Mór where a steady supply of handknits for The Country Shop came from.

-The above information was attained from Geraldine Mitchell's book on the life and work of Muriel Gahan 'Deeds not Words'

The studs measure 5mm in height x 5mm in width x 5mm in depth
