Tweed Blanket
Eddie Doherty

Hand made by Eddie Doherty in the small village of Ardara in Co. Donegal, these throws are woven in the traditional tweed, herringbone pattern using brightly coloured Donegal yarns, with their familiar multi-coloured flecks running through. Eddie began weaving at the age of 16, over forty years later he is one of the rare weavers in Ireland working on a hand loom, the difference between synthetic machine-woven tweeds and natural, hand-woven fabric is indisputable. This is a throw that will last a lifetime and be handed down from generation to generation
Each throw is finished with twisted tassels, measuring about 138cm X 185cm
To care for your throw you should handwash in cool water only.
