Ceramic Bird Feeder

A beautifully made bird feeder thrown on the potter's wheel. Available in two finishes, either glazed stoneware or unglazed terracotta, each feeder includes a drainage hole in the base to prevent waterlogging. Strung with a durable, colourful cord, tempt robins and other small garden birds with a selection of nuts and seeds.
Made by Rosemarie Durr who is based in Castlecomer, Kilkenny. Her studio is based in the Craft Yard of Castlecomer Discovery Park, a former estate. This converted farmyard is a fitting place to find her at work given that Rosemarie's strong appreciation of tradition and beauty in the everyday from her home life growing up in Roscommon.
Measurements: birdfeeder measures about 14cm in diameter and 6cm tall.

Our Story
Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey established Irish Design Shop in 2008. A love of Irish craft and good design led these two jewellers to set up a retail space which offered customers both. Irish craft was witnessing a revival at this time, with a new breed of Irish designer/maker producing exciting, design-led products which embraced traditional and new techniques.
