A hand-painted porcelain bowl by one of Ireland's most well-regarded ceramicists Adam Frew. Adam makes clean, simple forms on the potters' wheel. His perfectly formed tableware is decorated in spontaneous mark-making, a contrast to the finely thrown porcelain. Sharp lines, crayon scribbles, brush marks, sponged back sections reflect the energy and passion Adam invests in his craft.
Each small bowl varies in design, the consistent feature being the abstract painterly style. Adam uses rich teals, navy blues, and speckles of burnt orange to contrast with the cool white porcelain.
Adam Frew is a potter based in rural Northern Ireland.
Dimensions and Care:

If you like this...
We think you will really appreciate Adam's flat white cups, which also feature this abstract design.
Adam undertakes each aspect of production himself, under the one roof! From making his own glazes, constructing the bowls and firing them. He recycles all of his unfired clay, and where possible biodegradable packaging is used to protect the finished porcelain pieces. As Adam works from his home in Northern Ireland, it's a short walk to the studio!
