Bernie Necklace

Handcrafted in a choice of either 18ct gold plated brass or solid sterling silver, our ‘Bernie’ necklace is perfect for everyday wear. A firm favourite along with our Nellie and Liz short necklaces. Hanging on a sleek 1.5mm snake chain, the pendant sits perfectly centered, sometimes shifting and moving with the wearer. Finished with a handmade clasp, this necklace makes a lovely gift.

This necklace is named Bernie after Clare's mother. 

The chain is 18" long and the pendant is approx 2cm in diameter x 1.5cm in depth. 

Names Jewellery began as a side project for the founders of Irish Design Shop; Clare and Laura. It has grown to be an integral part of the business, branching into an independent studio space on neighboring Exchequer Street. Each piece of jewellery, crafted by hand, is named after a woman who inspires Clare and Laura, be they family members, disrupters, or fellow makers.  

We use hard wearing 18ct gold plating when finishing our brass & silver necklaces. The plating gives these necklaces a luxurious finish.

Each necklace made in recycled silver is hallmarked in the Dublin Assay office, located a short stroll from our workshop in historic Dublin Castle.

Each piece of jewellery is crafted by hand in our neighbouring workshop. We carefully source our raw materials from respected suppliers here in Dublin and use all recycled silver and gold. All waste material generated in the making process goes back to our supplier as scrap metal. Each batch of finished jewellery is hand delivered to our Drury Street shop.
