Cara earrings
Our Cara earrings, handcrafted in solid 6mm thick silver or gold bar, are like a chunky version of our popular Rachel earrings. We like to play with scale when developing new designs. Measuring 5mm wide, our Cara earrings with polished side and matte face, have a clean, graphic silhouette. Style with our Emma and Vanessa studs for a statement look or wear individually for everyday.
These earrings are named after Cara Murphy, who is a silversmith based in Northern Ireland.
Names Jewellery began as a side project for the founders of Irish Design Shop; Clare and Laura. It has grown to be an integral part of the business, branching into an independent studio space on neighboring Exchequer Street. Each piece of jewellery, crafted by hand, is named after a woman who inspires Clare and Laura, be they family members, disrupters, or fellow makers.
Each pair of earrings made in silver and gold is hallmarked in the Dublin Assay office, located a short stroll from our workshop in historic Dublin Castle. The stamps include our unique makers mark of CGD followed by the unique Dublin marks.
Below, you will find our suggestions for jewellery pieces that best compliment these earrings.
Each piece of jewellery is crafted by hand in our neighbouring workshop. We carefully source our raw materials from respected suppliers here in Dublin and use all recycled silver and gold. All waste material generated in the making process goes back to our supplier as scrap metal. Each batch of finished jewellery is hand delivered to our Drury Street shop.
