Ceramic Salt Pot
The perfect addition to your kitchen worktop. A year in development, our exclusive salt pot was designed by us and produced by Christien in County Wicklow. The wooden lid was made by Warren of Coolree Design in County Kildare. A beautifully tactile piece that you will enjoy using daily. The ceramic is glazed to keep the salt dry, and the wooden lid sits snugly in the pot, keeping your salt clean from any splashes during cooking. The wide opening allows for an easy pinch of salt. We suggest pairing your salt pot with the award-winning Dingle Sea Salt.
This salt pot measures: 7.6cm in height x 8.5cm in diameter, including the wooden lid. Should you need to clean the wooden lid, simply wipe with a damp cloth. If over time, the wood becomes 'thirsty' looking, re oil with a food safe oil.
Christien is a Wicklow-based ceramic artist and the maker of our best-selling Colour Block mugs. Originally from Holland, she and her husband settled in Ireland several years ago.
With a spacious studio in Aughrim, surrounded by her dogs, chickens and donkeys, the quiet and rural atmosphere encourages creativity and a good workflow.
Christien uses the slip-casting technique in durable stoneware clay to create her unique pieces. They fired at high temperatures making them suitable for dishwasher and microwave use.
