Nancy earrings

A pair of perfectly formed square studs that remain lightweight without compromising on impact. Extremely comfortable, they are ideal for everyday wear. The polished sides reflect light beautifully and complement the matte finish of the sides. Handmade in sterling silver, the Nancy earrings are also available in recycled 9ct gold.

These earrings are named after Nancy Ferry, who was a Donegal spinner, and part of Muriel Gahan's cooperative movement of the 1930's. 

Each stud earring measures 4mm in height x 4mm in width.

Names Jewellery began as a side project for the founders of Irish Design Shop; Clare and Laura. It has grown to be an integral part of the business, branching into an independent studio space on neighboring Exchequer Street. Each piece of jewellery, crafted by hand, is named after a woman who inspires Clare and Laura, be they family members, disrupters, or fellow makers.

Each pair of earrings made in silver and gold is hallmarked in the Dublin Assay office, located a short stroll from our workshop in historic Dublin Castle. The stamps include our unique makers mark of CGD followed by the unique Dublin marks.

Each piece of jewellery is crafted by hand in our neighbouring workshop. We carefully source our raw materials from respected suppliers here in Dublin and use all recycled silver and gold. All waste material generated in the making process goes back to our supplier as scrap metal. Each batch of finished jewellery is hand delivered to our Drury Street shop.
