Stoneware Egg Cup
A perfectly formed, stoneware egg cup designed exclusively for our shop by Dan of Araucaria Ceramics in the Dublin mountains. It is the perfect accompaniment to our wooden egg holder. Choose between 2 earthy glazes of either sand or linen. Makes a super cute wedding or housewarming gift. Each egg cup measures 7cm at the base x 4cm at the top.
Situated in the Dublin Mountains, Aruacaria Ceramics was established by Daniel Woodsmith, a self-taught potter. Originally a chef, Daniel turned from plating food to creating tableware in 2017.
Each piece is handthrown using stoneware clay as well as local, hand-dug, Irish clay, and are fired in an electric or raku kiln.
Using a minimalist approach, each piece allows the food to be the centre of attention.
All products are microwave proof and dishwasher safe but hand washing with care is recommended.
Dishes are oven safe, however it is recommended, like all ceramic, to not go directly from fridge / freezer to oven, to prevent thermal shock and cracking.
