Eilis Stud earrings
The sloping geometric shape of our Eilis earrings, inspired by rock formations of the Burren is a shape we revisit often in our jewellery. Handcrafted in a choice of either solid silver or 9ct gold, two finishes are available in this design. For the matte option, we have polished the sides. The opposite is the case for the polished option, whereby we have left the sides matte and polished the front. Perfect for everyday wear. Our Eilis earrings are named after Derry-born abstract sculptor, Eilis O'Connell.
Each Eilis stud measures 10mm in length x 6mm in width x 3.5mm at the deepest point. Crafted by hand in a choice of either recycled silver or 9ct gold.
Names Jewellery began as a side project for the founders of Irish Design Shop; Clare and Laura. It has grown to be an integral part of the business, branching into an independent studio space on neighboring Exchequer Street. Each piece of jewellery, crafted by hand, is named after a woman who inspires Clare and Laura, be they family members, disrupters, or fellow makers.
Each pair of earrings made in silver and gold is hallmarked in the Dublin Assay office, located a short stroll from our workshop in historic Dublin Castle. The stamps include our unique makers mark of CGD followed by the unique Dublin marks.
Below, you will find our suggestions for jewellery pieces that best compliment these earrings.
Each piece of jewellery is crafted by hand in our neighbouring workshop. We carefully source our raw materials from respected suppliers here in Dublin and use all recycled silver and gold. All waste material generated in the making process goes back to our supplier as scrap metal. Each batch of finished jewellery is hand delivered to our Drury Street shop.
