Espresso Cup
This perfectly formed espresso cup is wheel thrown in durable earthenware. Incredibly tactile, the rings from the potter's wheel remain on the inside which is finished in a white glaze. Caroline decorates each cup by hand using brushes and handmade tools. The vibrant pigments are predominantly made from natural minerals such as iron and copper. Each cup is unique with slight variations in pigment and decoration. Comfortable to hold, thanks to the generous handle, these cups have such character and make a lovely addition to your coffee break.

Following an intensive two-year pottery course in Thomastown, Kilkenny, Caroline Dolan has been creating her beautiful range of ceramics at The Bridge Pottery in Burnchurch Kilkenny, since 2011. This picturesque, rural location is surrounded by wildlife and nature which serves as a constant source of inspiration for both Caroline and her partner Mark Campden, a fellow potter.
Working in the technique of 'majolica', each thrown piece is covered in white glaze. Her distinct designs come to life with sgraffito, and pigments often made from the natural minerals of iron and copper.
