Sorrell Reilly is an illustrator, printmaker and digital artist based in Corofin, Co. Clare. Her main subject is the Irish landscape. Using a combination of sketches, lino prints and digital elements, Sorrell creates her final pieces which are full of texture and colour. Her work combines both traditional and modern printing techniques to create a colourful interplay of both old and new.
When creating her pieces, she often associates it with a song or poem that reflects the feeling she wants to capture, which often then becomes the title of the piece.
Nature has been a medicine for Sorrell, the beauty of the landscape and the flowers and the colours around her give her the inspiration to create.
Each giclée print is personally signed and titled by Sorrell. Printed on enhanced matte paper for a luxurious, vibrant colour and ready to be framed. The print comes packaged in a biodegradable cellophane sleeve with a backing board for added protection.
