Ceramic Mug
A beautifully tactile stoneware mug by Dan of Araucaria based in the Dublin mountains. The handle is expertly crafted with a nice little indent for your finger to rest. A joy to hold and use, and the perfect size whether you're a tea or coffee drinker. Choose between two earthy glazes of linen or sandstone. Each mug is finished with the maker's mark on the base. Dimensions: Each mug measures 13cm x 8cm.
Situated in the Dublin Mountains, Aruacaria Ceramics was established by Daniel Woodsmith, a self-taught potter. Originally a chef, Daniel turned from plating food to creating tableware in 2017.
Each piece is handthrown using stoneware clay as well as local, hand-dug, Irish clay, and are fired in an electric or raku kiln.
Using a minimalist approach, each piece allows the food to be the centre of attention.
All products are microwave proof and dishwasher safe but hand washing with care is recommended.
Dishes are oven safe, however it is recommended, like all ceramic, to not go directly from fridge / freezer to oven, to prevent thermal shock and cracking.
