A pair of uncomplicated studs in solid sterling silver. Measuring 6mm in diameter, interest is added to the basic circular shape by filing a split level into the surface, which is emphasized by the contrasting matte and polished finishes. Extremely wearable, these studs compliment both a casual and formal look. Handmade in sterling silver, the Nora earrings are also available in hard wearing, 18ct yellow gold plating. Each piece of jewellery within our Homespun collection is named after a woman who was involved in The Country Shop:
Nora Ringwood was one of the first waitresses hired in The Country Shop. She would forever be known as the first to be fired also, for combing her hair and powdering her face in view of the customers. Muriel was known for running a very tight ship. The staff were both very fond of her, recognizing her caring generosity, and fearful of her strict rules. They knew they would be treated equally and fairly so long as they did their jobs well.
-The above information was attained from Geraldine Mitchell's book on the life and work of Muriel Gahan 'Deeds not Words'
The studs are 6mm in diameter and are 5mm in depth.
