Pet Blanket

A super luxe pet blanket made exclusively for us in Newport, Co. Mayo, using undyed wool from weavers John Hanly and hard-wearing waxed cotton. We approached The Sheepish Dog with an idea for a blanket that was suitable for a variety of pets (dogs, cats & small furries). It needed to be cosy and thoroughly functional. Dogs and cats love the feel and smell of wool. This is matched with premium, dry-finish waxed cotton canvas on the other side for a waterproof barrier between couch, car or bed and your wonderfully spoiled pet. Wool is naturally anti-bacterial (so no smelly microbes!)

Available in a choice of two colourways; the oatmeal is backed with a green waxed cotton and the turf herringbone is backed in a navy waxed cotton. Each blanket is beautifully finished with a screen-printed 'Wee Pets' cotton patch in a complementary colour. These blankets are available for a limited time. 

Measurements: Each blanket measures 60cm x 85cm. To care for your pet blanket, we recommend dry cleaning. The materials used in each blanket's construction are hard-wearing and robust, so you won't need to have the cleaners on speed dial! What started as a collaboration on our annual wall calendar has grown into a whole collection of items for pets. Jo Pearson of Strangford is the illustrator of our 2027 calendar. Her style is so unique, the characters she draws, full of divilment! We knew these illustrations could happily translate onto a series of products.

We enlisted the talents of some of our favourite makers in Ireland to collaborate with us on these special products that you and your pet will adore. These include a pet blanket produced in Mayo, pet bandanas screen-printed in Northern Ireland, a ceramics collection made in Dublin, and our calendar and limited-edition print, both printed in Dublin. Our passion is for collaboration, bringing talented makers together to create something totally unique.
