Sadie Necklace
The sculptural outline of the Sadie pendant is formed in 2mm thick silver, creating an altered rectangular shape. A mix of straight lines and clean angles, it sits perfectly centred on the wearer, hanging on a 60cm long anchor chain with handmade clasp. The contrasting finishes of matte and polished complete this statement necklace which is also available in 18ct gold plated silver. If your preference is for delicate jewellery, we have made a miniature version of Sadie, available here.
This necklace is named after Dublin woman Sadie Quigley, who was a part of Muriel Gahan's cooperative movement of the 1930's.
Dimensions: The pendant is 20mm in height x 38mm in width x 10mm in depth and hangs on a chain that is 60cm in length. Made in sterling silver.
Names Jewellery began as a side project for the founders of Irish Design Shop; Clare and Laura. It has grown to be an integral part of the business, branching into an independent studio space on neighboring Exchequer Street. Each piece of jewellery, crafted by hand, is named after a woman who inspires Clare and Laura, be they family members, disrupters, or fellow makers.
We use hard wearing 18ct gold plating when finishing our brass & silver necklaces. The plating gives these necklaces a luxurious finish.
Each necklace made in recycled silver is hallmarked in the Dublin Assay office, located a short stroll from our workshop in historic Dublin Castle.
Below, you will find our suggestions for jewellery pieces that best compliment these earrings.
Each piece of jewellery is crafted by hand in our neighbouring workshop. We carefully source our raw materials from respected suppliers here in Dublin and use all recycled silver and gold. All waste material generated in the making process goes back to our supplier as scrap metal. Each batch of finished jewellery is hand delivered to our Drury Street shop.
