Established by Claire and her partner Eli in 2015, WASI works to bring seaweed to the forefront of as a vital ingredient of modern skincare.
They are based in Bantry, Cork, in the South-West of Ireland, where Claire was raised. Growing up, seaweed played a fundamental role in the health of the land and her family- for many generations in Ireland, gathering and spreading seaweed on the land was key for encouraging fertility and a successful harvest.
All seaweed is hand-harvested by Claire and her team, as well as all the mixing, bottling, and blending. To ensure vitality of the seaweed, they only cut small portions, allowing the plant to regenerate itself before they come back to it. All products are cruelty-free.
