Terracotta Ramen Bowl
This generously sized bowl could be used for many things but Helen designed it particularly to hold a nourishing bowl of ramen, "Wide enough to spread out all the ramen toppings and deep enough to fill with enough noodles and soup and keep hot till the end."
Hand-thrown in terracotta clay in Belfast, Helen has chosen a beautiful, smooth, turquoise glaze that contrasts with the exposed dark clay perfectly. The overall shape is a delight to use, with the lines and curves as evidence that each piece is made by hand.
Dimensions and Care:
This bowl measures approx. 9 cm tall and 16.5 cm in diameter and hold 750ml. This piece is safe to use in the oven and dishwasher but not recommended for the microwave as the terracotta clay heats up very quickly.

Helen Faulkner is a ceramicist based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, most known for her hand-thrown terracotta pottery glazed in a vibrant turquoise. She is heavily inspired by food, pairing her favourite bowls and plates with specific dishes.
After studying general crafts in England, Helen was advised to undertake the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland's pottery skills course in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny. After 7 years honing her skills, she returned to Belfast where she continues to create her signature terracotta collection and teach pottery classes.
Helen's collection is made to be used everyday, with a piece for every occasion. Each piece is thrown on the wheel, using a terracotta clay, fired in a kiln, glazed and finished.
All kitchenware pieces are oven and dishwasher safe, however it is not microwave safe as the terracotta clay heats up very quickly.
